Search for content
Run a keyword search across the repository you have open, so the content list shows only matching items.
Before you start: open a repository so you are in the Asset Browser (see Browsing content). The search field sits in the bar at the top of the Asset Browser, next to the repository selector.
- Click the Search field at the top of the Asset Browser. (Clicking into the field also opens the filter panel on the left — you can ignore it for a plain keyword search.)
- Type a word or phrase. Search matches item names, descriptions, and any other fields your administrator has marked as searchable.
- Press Enter. The content list refreshes to show only matching items, and a Search: chip with your term appears above the list.
Clear a search
Section titled “Clear a search”Do any one of the following:
- Click the X inside the Search field, or delete the text and press Enter.
- Click the × on the Search: chip above the list.
- Click Clear all at the right end of the chip row (this also removes any active filters).
The list returns to showing all content in the repository.
Verify
Section titled “Verify”The Search: chip above the content list shows the term currently applied. If the chip is gone, no search is active.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- No results, but you know the item exists — check the chip row above the list: an active type, status, or category filter narrows your search results too. Click Clear all and search again. See Filter the content list.
- The item is archived — archived items are excluded by default. Open the filter panel’s Status section and turn on Include Archived.
