Set your preferences

Adjust how CM Box looks and behaves for you. Preferences are saved to your profile the moment you change them — there is no save button — and follow you across browsers and sessions.

Before you start: be signed in (see Signing in).

  1. Click the gear icon (User Preferences) at the right end of the header bar, next to your name. The User Preferences page opens.
  2. Your profile card is at the top: your name, email address, and join date, plus an Admin badge if you have administrator rights.
  3. Under Default Preferences, flip any of the toggles:
    • Theme Mode — switch between the Light and Dark interface. (The theme switcher in the header bar changes the same setting.)
    • Interface Version — choose between the Classic and Modern content management interface.
    • Asset View Layout — choose whether repositories open in Grid (cards) or Table (rows) view by default. You can still switch views on the fly in the Asset Browser; this sets the starting point.
  4. Under Security, review your access — this section is informational:
    • Roles and Groups you belong to.
    • Effective Permissions, grouped by scope: Global, Repositories, and Sites. Administrators see All permissions (admin).

Each toggle takes effect immediately — the theme changes on the spot, and the next repository you open uses your chosen default view. Sign in from another browser to confirm the settings followed your profile.

  • You believe you’re missing a permission — the Security section shows exactly what you have. If something you need isn’t listed, contact your administrator; permissions can’t be changed from this page.
